Tiles are a great choice for walls as they are easy to maintain and won’t fade in sunlight like wallpaper or paint can. They add texture and acoustics to your space and are a sound option for those with children or pets as they are wipe clean (our encaustic tiles can even be sanded slightly if there was to be an accident with permanent marker!). Whether plain or patterned, using tiles on walls will transform your space into something truly special.
Tiles will work well on the walls of any room in the house. They’re particularly popular in kitchens and bathrooms, and can be used to stunning effect on walls in the hallway, utility areas and bedrooms too.
Our neutral collections are great for walls, and one of our most popular white wall tiles is the Skinny White Metro. This is a super versatile tile that fits in with a wide range of interior styles. Our plain cement tiles are also fabulous on walls – their natural, chalky colours create spaces packed with texture and personality – as are our plain glazed tiles, which pick up the light beautifully.
We also love to see our patterned cement tiles used on walls – they’re a great choice for a feature wall, paired with matching plain tiles on the other walls. Our new Mazes collection is a fantastic option – the three styles can be used collectively to create a bespoke pattern full of unique twists and turns – while our Pradenas are another very popular choice.
Walls also offer lots of scope to get playful with shape – our Diamonds tiles look great on a wall, and we love them arranged in place of a headboard above the bed – or try hexagonal tiles in place of classic squares.
For a luxurious look, consider marble wall tiles. Our marble collection features five different colourways, each selected for its soft take on the traditional marble look, and looks gorgeous on bathroom walls, paired with a plain cement tile on the floor. Alternatively, go for terrazzo to add character and texture to your space – its gorgeous flecks of marble, granite and quartz are a lovely way of bringing pops of colour into your home.
